The Prince George Pride Society is dedicated to promoting community support and organizing events that celebrate the achievements, talents, and stories of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Our mission is to foster inclusive environments, honor diversity, and advocate for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights while defending our human rights.
The Prince George Pride Society was established in the 1990s as a grassroots movement by local 2SLGBTQIA+ activists and allies who sought to enhance 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, visibility, equality, and community support in Northern British Columbia. What began with small gatherings and advocacy efforts evolved into an organized, incorporated society in 1997. Since then, the Prince George Pride Society has been a driving force behind annual Pride celebrations in Prince George, providing events, education, and outreach that promote inclusion and celebrate diversity!
The members of our leadership at the Prince George Pride Society each bring their own set of complementary strengths, experiences, and resources, all while sharing a dedication to 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and community support within our local community.
Join us in celebrating and advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, inclusion, and visibility in Prince George and beyond. As a member of the Prince George Pride Society, you'll have a voice in shaping our events, initiatives, and direction. Whether you're part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or an ally, your community support helps us build a more vibrant, inclusive, and empowered future. All are welcome! Come as you are, and stand with Pride!
We are committed to serving our community in the best possible way, focusing on community support through fundraising, working with community partners, and collaborating with other like-minded organizations to advocate for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights. Pride Week could not happen each year without the generous support of our sponsors, including the Prince George Pride Society!

We live, work, and play on the occupied unceded ancestral territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. We acknowledge the ongoing consequences of colonization that disproportionately harm Indigenous queer, trans and Two-Spirit people.
